The recommendation for  ban on endosulfan will come up for discussion on Tuesday as per the  tentative scheduled for the meeting. Initial reports from the conference  indicate that India is working for a consensus in the Asia-Pacific  group against the ban.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->However, C. Jayakumar of Thanal, who is an observer to the convention,  said in an email message from Geneva that this move might not succeed as  there are countries who cannot agree to the same. \u201cThe African region  is more or less talking about a common agreement of adding endosulfan to  Annex A of the convention without exemptions.
